Stop Me Privacy Policy

How Stop Me handles your app choices, attention history, and subscription information.

Effective date: July 30, 2026 · Last updated: July 30, 2026

Stop Me is provided by Khueon Studios ("Developer," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, used, stored, and disclosed when you use the Stop Me Android application (the "App"), package name com.khueon.stopme.

For privacy questions or requests, contact us at [email protected].

1. Summary

Stop Me is designed to keep attention-related information on your device.

  • Stop Me does not require an account.
  • Stop Me does not contain advertising.
  • Stop Me does not sell personal information.
  • Stop Me does not use your attention history for advertising or third-party behavioral analytics.
  • Your selected apps, custom messages, purposes, session settings, and decision history are stored locally on your device.
  • If subscriptions are available, Google Play processes payment and RevenueCat processes subscription and entitlement information on our behalf.

2. Information accessed and stored on your device

Installed-app information

When you open the app picker, Stop Me reads the list of launchable applications on your device so that you can choose which apps to protect. This may include an app's package name, display name, icon, and whether it is a system app.

The app list is processed on your device. Stop Me stores details only for apps you select, including the selected app's package name, label, icon, and your configuration for that app. This information is not sent to us, RevenueCat, or advertisers.

Settings and content you enter

Stop Me stores information you provide or configure, such as:

  • selected protected apps;
  • custom reminder messages;
  • pause duration;
  • purposes you enter for opening an app;
  • default and selected session durations;
  • whether protection is enabled; and
  • onboarding and app preferences.

This information remains in local app storage.

Decision and session history

To provide on-device insights and adaptive pauses, Stop Me stores records such as:

  • the protected app involved;
  • whether you went back, continued, completed or extended a session, or used the bypass;
  • the date and time of the decision;
  • a purpose you entered; and
  • the selected session duration.

Stop Me keeps up to 500 decision records in local app storage. These records are used only on your device to show insights and adjust pause length. They are not sent to us or to RevenueCat.

3. AccessibilityService API disclosure

Stop Me uses the Android AccessibilityService API only to provide its core app-launch detection and mindful-pause feature. Stop Me is not an accessibility tool for people with disabilities and does not claim to be one. The service may operate in the background so it can recognize when you open an app that you chose to protect, even when Stop Me is not open.

Before directing you to Android Settings, Stop Me presents an in-app disclosure explaining this use. You must take an affirmative action and explicitly enable the service in Android Settings. You may decline or disable it at any time.

The only AccessibilityService-derived data Stop Me accesses is the package identifier of the app that comes to the foreground. The service receives window-state-change events, compares that identifier with the apps you selected, and shows your chosen intervention when there is a match.

The service:

  • does not retrieve screen content;
  • does not read messages, passwords, form entries, notifications, or taps;
  • does not record keystrokes;
  • does not perform purchases or change device settings for you; and
  • does not transmit foreground-app information off your device.

Foreground app identifiers are processed only on your device. Android package identifiers for enabled protected apps, active allow sessions, and related decision and session history are stored in private on-device storage. This AccessibilityService data is not collected by Khueon Studios, transmitted off your device, shared, sold, or used for advertising or third-party analytics. Disabling the service stops future foreground-app detection.

4. Subscription and purchase information

Stop Me offers optional monthly and yearly auto-renewing subscriptions through Google Play. Google Play processes your payment method and payment account information. We do not receive or store your complete card or bank details.

We use RevenueCat to retrieve products, verify purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Stop Me Plus is active. RevenueCat may process:

  • an automatically generated anonymous App User ID;
  • device type, operating system, locale, and currency information;
  • product and entitlement identifiers;
  • subscription status, purchase and expiration dates, and renewal status;
  • Google Play purchase tokens and transaction information; and
  • the last time the App contacted RevenueCat.

We use this information to provide and restore paid features, prevent unauthorized access, provide purchase support, and review subscription performance. RevenueCat processes this information as a service provider on our behalf.

Stop Me disables RevenueCat's automatic advertising-device-identifier collection and SDK diagnostics. We do not send your protected-app list, purposes, custom reminders, or decision history to RevenueCat.

5. Support communications

If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message, and troubleshooting details. Please do not send passwords, complete payment-card details, or information unrelated to your support request.

We use support communications to respond to you, investigate problems, protect the App, and comply with legal obligations.

6. How information is disclosed

We disclose information only as described in this Policy:

  • Google Play:to process, manage, and restore subscriptions and handle payments under Google's terms.
  • RevenueCat: to verify subscriptions, maintain entitlement status, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide subscription reporting.
  • Legal and safety reasons: if reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or enforceable government requests; protect users, the public, or our rights; investigate fraud or abuse; or enforce our agreements.
  • Business transfers: if the App or Developer is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Legal bases

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we process information:

  • to perform our contract with you, including providing the App and Stop Me Plus;
  • with your consent, including when you choose to enable AccessibilityService;
  • for legitimate interests such as securing the App, verifying entitlements, preventing fraud, providing support, and improving subscription operations; and
  • to comply with legal obligations.

You may revoke AccessibilityService access at any time in Android Settings. Revoking access does not affect processing that was already lawful.

8. Retention and deletion

Local information

Protected-app settings remain on your device until you remove the protected app, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. Decision history remains until you clear the App's storage or uninstall the App and is limited to the most recent 500 stored records.

You can delete local Stop Me information through Android:

Settings → Apps → Stop Me → Storage → Clear storage

Uninstalling Stop Me also deletes its local app storage. Disabling AccessibilityService stops future detection but does not by itself erase existing local settings.

Subscription information

Subscription records are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide and restore paid access, maintain transaction integrity, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, provide support, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and store-platform obligations. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer required for those purposes.

To request deletion of subscription information controlled by us, email [email protected] with the subject "Stop Me data deletion request." We may need information that reasonably allows us to locate the anonymous subscription record. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Deleting subscription information does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Cancel or manage the subscription separately through the App's subscription-management link or the Google Play Subscriptions page.

Google Play and RevenueCat may retain information under their own legal obligations and retention policies.

Support communications

We retain support communications only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and comply with law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved. Stop Me uses Android private app storage, disables Android cloud backup for App data, blocks cleartext network traffic, and uses encrypted connections for subscription services.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to prevent unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

10. International processing

Google and RevenueCat may process information in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States. Where required, we and our service providers use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

11. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or information about the processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent and complain to a data-protection authority.

To submit a request, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Because most Stop Me data remains only on your device, we generally cannot access or recover it. Use Android's storage controls to delete that local data.

12. Children

Stop Me is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age required by local law to consent to digital services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact [email protected].

If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the App only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

13. Third-party links

The App may open Google Play, a privacy-policy page, or a terms page in your browser. Third-party services operate under their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party websites or services outside our control.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, law, or our practices change. We will update the "Last updated" date and provide any additional notice required by law. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide reasonable advance notice where required.
