Steady Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of these Terms

By downloading, installing, purchasing, or using Steady, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Adult eligibility

Steady is designed only for adults aged 18 or older. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 and legally able to enter into these Terms.

3. What Steady provides

Steady is a private, evidence-informed self-help companion for adults who want to reduce or stop unwanted pornography use. Depending on your settings and subscription, it may provide:

• A one-tap guided Pause with paced breathing and prepared responses
• If–then planning, environmental barriers, a letter to yourself, and a trusted-person message
• Optional urge logging, check-ins, reflection, and pattern awareness
• Practice across Notice, Prepare, Pause, Redirect, Return, and Learn—without streaks, purity scores, public leaderboards, or resets
• Evidence-linked lessons presented as manageable experiments
• Optional iPhone Shield and AI-personalized daily plans

Features may depend on your iPhone model, iOS version, permissions, region, and subscription status.

4. Educational self-help—not healthcare or an emergency service

Steady provides general educational self-help. It does not diagnose, prevent, monitor, or treat any medical or mental health condition and is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional, therapist, counselor, or other professional service.

Steady is not an emergency or crisis service and does not monitor your entries. If you may harm yourself or someone else, do not rely on the App. Contact local emergency services or a trusted person who can stay with you.

We do not promise a fixed-day "brain reset," a dopamine detox, a particular recovery timeline, or any guaranteed result. Your experience may differ, and you remain responsible for your choices and wellbeing.

5. Features that remain free

The emergency Pause, prepared response, letter to yourself, trusted-person message, check-in, settings, and full data deletion remain available without a Steady Plus subscription. We may improve how these features work, but we will not move this core set behind the Steady Plus paywall.

6. Steady Plus subscriptions

Steady Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription that unlocks personalized daily plans, iPhone Shield, the full lesson library, and private progress features.

• The exact price, billing period, and any free or discounted trial are shown before you confirm a purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing or trial period.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting Steady does not cancel a subscription.
• Refunds, billing disputes, and payment processing are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's policies and applicable law.

7. iPhone Shield and Screen Time

iPhone Shield uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks and requires your authorization. You choose which apps, websites, or categories to block. Apple keeps those selections private from Steady by providing opaque tokens.

You can change or revoke Screen Time permission at any time. iPhone Shield is a self-help friction tool, not a guarantee that content will always be blocked. Its availability and performance can be affected by iOS behavior, device settings, permissions, software updates, or actions taken on the device. You remain responsible for how you configure and use it.

8. Optional AI personalization

AI personalization is off by default. If you enable it, Steady sends a limited behavior summary to an AI service to generate personalized guidance. It does not send your name, private notes, contacts, reasons, Screen Time choices, or written plans.

AI-generated material may be incomplete, inaccurate, repetitive, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Treat it as optional educational guidance, use your own judgment, and do not rely on it as professional advice. You can disable the feature at any time.

9. Your content, messages, and device

• You retain ownership of the notes, plans, messages, and reflections you create.
• You give us only the limited permission needed to process a behavior summary when you actively enable optional AI personalization.
• Steady prepares trusted-person messages for your review and never sends them automatically. You are responsible for deciding whether and to whom to send a message.
• You are responsible for protecting your device, passcode, backups, and access to locally stored information.
• We generally cannot recover locally stored content after you delete it or remove the App.

10. Acceptable use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Steady in accordance with these Terms. You may not:

• Use the App for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity
• Interfere with the App, its security, or another person's use
• Copy, sell, sublicense, distribute, or commercially exploit the App except where applicable law expressly allows it
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where that restriction is prohibited by law
• Use the App in a way that infringes another person's rights

11. Intellectual property

Steady, including its software, design, branding, lessons, and other Khueon Studios content, is owned by or licensed to Khueon Studios and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the App or our content to you. Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

12. Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. Steady relies on Apple for App Store distribution, payments, messaging interfaces, and Screen Time features, and on RevenueCat for subscription management. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms and policies.

13. App Store terms

If you downloaded Steady from the Apple App Store, the following terms also apply:

• These Terms are between you and Khueon Studios, not Apple. Khueon Studios, not Apple, is responsible for Steady and its content.
• Your license is limited to use on Apple-branded products that you own or control as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including applicable Family Sharing or volume-purchase rules.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Steady. Contact us for App support.
• To the extent any warranty is required and Steady fails to conform, you may notify Apple for any refund of the purchase price available under Apple's rules. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
• Khueon Studios, not Apple, is responsible for product claims, legal or regulatory claims, and intellectual-property claims relating to Steady.
• You represent that you are not in a country subject to a United States government embargo or designated as supporting terrorism, and are not listed on a United States government prohibited or restricted parties list.
• You must comply with applicable third-party agreement terms.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the App Store provisions against you.

14. Availability, changes, and termination

We may update Steady, add or remove non-core features, correct errors, or suspend parts of the App for security, maintenance, legal, or operational reasons. We may end or restrict your license if you materially violate these Terms. You may stop using Steady at any time.

Ending use or deleting the App does not cancel Steady Plus; cancel it separately through your Apple Account settings.

15. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steady and its content are provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, that iPhone Shield cannot be bypassed, or that Steady will reduce or stop pornography use.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Khueon Studios and its team will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, revenue, or goodwill, arising from or related to Steady.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

17. Governing law and consumer rights

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Khueon Studios in Pakistan, without affecting mandatory consumer rights available in your country or region. Any dispute will be brought before a court with competent jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Steady, our service providers, or applicable law. We will post the revised Terms here, update the date above, and provide additional notice in the App when a change is material. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
